What's In A Name?
We happen to think FAKE NEWS is the perfect name for a tribute to Huey Lewis & The News. It's clever. It's memorable. It gets a laugh. And, frankly, it just fits.
That said, we also recognize that the phrase "fake news" has taken on a life of its own in today's political landscape. While our only agenda is delivering two hours of hit songs, great musicianship, and a ridiculously fun show, we understand that some venues prefer to steer clear of anything that could be perceived as politically charged—even unintentionally.
No problem.
If you'd rather keep the focus squarely on the music, we're happy to perform under our alternate name:
Newsworthy: A Tribute to Huey Lewis & The News
Same band. Same musicians. Same songs. Same energy. The only thing that changes is the logo on the poster.
Simply let our booking agency know which name you'd prefer to use when scheduling your event. We'll handle the rest—and regardless of what we're called that night, we'll make sure the only headlines are about what a great time everyone had.
